Birney wins Castle Cycles / Four Masters Summer League 2017

Christopher Birney (Sportactive) so often on the podium on recent summer league campaigns has comfortably won the Castle Cycles / Four Masters Summer League for 2017. Christopher competed in every round and scored heavily in 9 of the 10 round league. He scored 81 points with his best 8 results. Johnny Kane (Four Masters CC) was his nearest rival finishing 2nd with a total of 59 points and Kieran Porter (Strabane / Lifford CC) a previous league winner, finished 3rd overall on 44 points. Christopher Birney also won both Ivan Wray Memorial Trophies for Best Timetrialist and Road Racer.
Best Four Masters cyclist was Johnny Kane, Most Improved was Trevor Cox ( Four Masters CC) who also was close 2nd to Chris Birney in the Ivan Wray Memorial RR Cup, Best Junior was Keelan Carberry (Four Masters CC).
Four Masters CC would like to thank everyone who competed in the league this year, all the people who marshaled and especially all the members that organised and officiated at the events over the last 10 weeks.
